Friday, February 24, 2023 – Miami, Florida - Today, David Grutman, globally renowned innovator and hospitality entrepreneur, and Space Perspective, the world’s only carbon-neutral space travel company, announced the next evolution of their partnership – the David Grutman Spaceflight Experience, available for booking immediately.

A whole new category of curated, luxury space travel, The David Grutman Spaceflight Experience is a limited series of Space Perspective flights curated by David Grutman, that will fully immerse Space Explorers in the high-energy luxury of Groot Hospitality. In addition to customized menus and cocktail programs, Space Explorers can expect a world-class experience that includes elite concierge services and hotel stays at Grutman’s current and future properties in Miami. It’s an experience that will see Groot Hospitality take some of their most beloved brands to the next frontier: space.

Space Perspective has totally reimagined and reengineered human spaceflight, offering Space Explorers a safe, luxurious, and carbon-neutral journey on board Spaceship Neptune, propelled by a SpaceBalloon™️ as big as a football stadium. Traveling at a gentle 12 mph, there are no crushing g-forces or need for rigorous training to take this transformative six-hour journey to space.

David Grutman’s deep connection to South Florida lends itself perfectly to where Space Perspective will begin commercial spaceflight on Florida's Space Coast – estimated at the end of 2024.

“We are so excited and honored to bring reinterpretations of our flagship properties to Space Perspective’, says David Grutman, ‘Both Papi Steak and Gekkō are entirely unique experiences unto themselves here in Miami. To bring them to the edge of space is going to create a whole new paradigm. All in all, it’s going to be out of this world.”

Once on-board Space Perspective’s Spaceship Neptune, Space Explorers will be treated to a full entertainment and food and beverage program by Groot Hospitality’s most renowned restaurants: Papi Steak (a high-energy steakhouse in partnership with restauranteur David Einhorn) and Gekkō (a Japanese-inspired steakhouse and sushi restaurant opened in partnership with recording artist, Bad Bunny). A concept menu was exclusively unveiled at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and is available below.

“Our partnership not only offers Space Explorers an exceptional hospitality experience in space, but also pre-and-post-flight options that will add to the overall adventure of booking a David Grutman Spaceflight Experience,” said Jane Poynter, Founder and Co-CEO of Space Perspective. “We know that food, beverage, and entertainment are deeply connected to memory and emotion and can take a once-in-a-lifetime experience to new heights. We look forward to announcing more partnerships as we build towards commercial launch in 2014 and are thrilled to have David and his team on board as our first.”

Spaceship Neptune’s luxurious Space Lounge is the perfect environment to host The David Grutman Spaceflight Experience. Offering plush seating, a 360°-view of the earth below from the largest windows ever flown in space, a bar top for food and beverage service and a high-speed Wi-Fi connection to allow you to bring your family and friends back on Earth along for the journey.

Exclusively announced at Miami’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and on sale now, interested Space Explorers can go to to secure their spot on the David Grutman Spaceflight Experience or contact Space Perspective at for more details and custom arrangements.
